The opening of the exhibition Seven Heavenly Senses

27 June - 5 October 2025

On Thursday 26 June, special guests were welcomed to the Hôtel de la Marine for the inaugural dinner to celebrate the exhibition ‘Seven Heavenly Senses’. The event was hosted by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Adullah Al Thani, special cultural advisor to The Al Thani Collection Foundation, who was joined by Marie Lavandier, President of the Centre des monuments nationaux.

‘Seven Heavenly Senses’ is the first exhibition of contemporary art drawn from the Collection. Shown alongside a selection of historical objects, the resulting juxtaposition reflects the passion and curiosity of a collector with encyclopaedic interests, and invites visitors to explore notions of figuration, form, craft and memory through approximately forty works of art created across different time periods, cultures, and contexts. The exhibition is curated by art historian Olivier Berggruen; it is on view until 5 October 2025.
